Spending time on Maine's coast has always led to pivotal transitions in my own life.

How We Work Together

  • Our approach to therapy is holistic - taking into consideration all parts of a person’s experience: individual factors, as well as the impact of family, partners, friends, school/work and community on our lives.  We utilize several therapies, including cognitive behavioral, client centered, solution focused, structural family and narrative therapy.
  • Coastal Transitions Counseling works with individuals that are eighteen years old and above.

Our Sessions

After our initial assessment in the first month, our sessions will focus on exploring factors that contribute towards your symptom. In addition, we will explore your unique strengths, keeping in mind that strengths are often essential in overcoming symptoms. We will collaborate on a treatment plan to address your goals in therapy, making good use of your time in session and a plan for practicing techniques outside of session.

Therapist Background

I spent my lifetime visiting the coast of Maine, enchanted by the scenery and the loving support of community.

Now, after ten years of practicing in Maine, I have created the space to support individuals’ mental health goals at my private practice: Coastal Transitions Counseling, LLC.

I am a Maine State Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with graduate degrees in counseling and psychology. I have been trained in evidenced-based therapies that are effective in reducing a variety of symptoms (such as depression, anxiety, phobias, grief, etc.).
