After our initial assessment in the first month, our sessions will focus on exploring factors that contribute towards your symptom. In addition, we will explore your unique strengths, keeping in mind that strengths are often essential in overcoming symptoms. We will collaborate on a treatment plan to address your goals in therapy, making good use of your time in session and a plan for practicing techniques outside of session.
I spent my lifetime visiting the coast of Maine, enchanted by the scenery and the loving support of community.
Now, after ten years of practicing in Maine, I have created the space to support individuals’ mental health goals at my private practice: Coastal Transitions Counseling, LLC.
I am a Maine State Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with graduate degrees in counseling and psychology. I have been trained in evidenced-based therapies that are effective in reducing a variety of symptoms (such as depression, anxiety, phobias, grief, etc.).
Currently, Coastal Transitions Counseling accepts Maine Care insurance (Medicaid), as well as the following private insurance options: Anthem, Maine Medical Center, Maine Community Health Options, Health Plans, Humana, Martin’s Point, EBPA (Employee Benefit Plan Administration), Beacon Health Options, Allied Benefits Systems, Azeros Health Plans, Cigna, Diversified Admin Corporation, MedBen, Patients Advocates, The Loomis Company, Ultra Benefits, UMR (United Medical Resource), UBH (United Behavioral Health), United Healthcare, WellCare (form of UBH), Harvard Pilgrim, UMR (United Medical Resource).
More private insurance reimbursement is coming soon; stay tuned.
Also, we currently accept payment out of pocket per visit ($100) by cash, or check.
